Richmond Slave Trail

Elegba Folklore Society (804) 644-3900 www.efsinc.org holds an annual Juneteenth celebration at Ancarrow’s Landing/Manchester Docks that includes an emotionally moving torchlit walk along the trail where enslaved Africans once walked.  Additional tours are available by special arrangement. Call the Richmond Slave Trail Commission at (804) 698-1070. Occasionally the JRPS offers slave trail walks. Call (804) 649-8911.
