Friends of the James River Park (FOJRP) - Provides citizen support for the conservation, enhancement and enjoyment of the James River Parks and their natural and historic environments, to include sponsored events, volunteer coordination, signs and park publications.

James River Association (JRA) - A strong voice for water quality, land use, and aquatic resources. They continually cosponsor river walks, clean-ups, tubing excursions, educational trips and more!

James River Outdoor Coalition (JROC) - Supports the park through donations and volunteer efforts to improve park facilities. This is a hard-working ‘project-oriented’ group if there ever was one.

James River Advisory Council - Communicates with public officials regarding issues and challenges facing the river and its resources. See their monthly calendar for nonstop activities.

Falls of the James Group / Sierra Club - Educates the community on environmental issues. Local chapter of a national organization.
